'Beautiful, cosy cottage! Would definitely return. Lynne was easy to contact and made us feel very welcome. Supplies for the fire were great as were the chocolates on arrival! Had everything we could have asked for' - Claire 'We had the most amazing holiday, and a huge part of that was thanks to our incredible host. From the moment we arrived, they went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The accommodation was spotless, cosy and thoughtfully arranged, making it feel like a home away from home. The host provided great local recommendations and was always available to ensure everything was perfect. We couldn't have asked for a better experience - this truly was the best holiday stay we have ever had ! Highly recommend!' - Nadeesha 'I took a last minute trip with my teenage daughter to visit family in Wheathampstead over the holidays, and I'm so glad the Back Door Cottage was available. It felt historic and truly English, which was exciting for my American daughter! The kitchen was brand new and had everything we needed. The bathroom was small but again totally met our needs. The little living room was delightfully snug, and we had a couple of nice eveneings where we lit the fire and watched movies. The stairs up to the bedroom were a bit steep but there is a rope handle to help you along. The bedroom had plenty of closet space, and a nice dressing table, and most importantly, a very comfortable bed. Lynne left such thoughtful touches when we arrived - including delicious Christmas treats, plenty of food to get us started, and nice decorations to make it feel festive. Wheathampstead is a picture book English Village and perfect for strolls along the river, cafes and cosy pubs' - Bernice
